Co-Owner
Billy is a native Floridian and grew up in a veterinary hospital. His parents founded the modern-day Winter Park Veterinary Hospital in 1983 and he was raised at the practice with a variety of animals as pets and rehabilitation projects. He played collegiate baseball at Columbia University in NYC and continued his baseball career overseas for 8 years playing in 5 different countries including Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Australia, and the Czech Republic. He has a BA in Psychology and International Relations along with an MA in International Relations and an MBA.
Billy finished his baseball career and decided to move back to the United States to help his parents at Winter Park Vet as they started considering their retirement. He truly enjoyed his experience learning what it takes to run a successful veterinary practice and chose to continue his parents' legacy by taking over the day-to-day operations and ownership of Winter Park Veterinary Hospital.
He currently manages a team of 75 plus people and 9 DVMS at their campus in Winter Park, Florida. He is currently on the board of the Employment Association Forum and is the past president and board member of the Executive Association of Greater Orlando. He has served in leadership roles in Veterinary Study Groups and Veterinary Management Groups for the last 5 years. As a past baseball coach and player, Billy is passionate about building teams and helping individuals succeed.
In his spare time he and his wife enjoy traveling and getting out in nature. They share their Lake Mary home with 5 rescue cats and a 9 year old Doodle named Mici and a 10 year old Saluki named Circe. Billy is also an avid golfer so you may see him on the links in Orlando.
